A wonderful gift of nature, Hill Stations always lure the tourists as well as common people. Perched thousands of feet above the sea level, hill station offer a pleasant cool retreat. Far from the crowded cities, hill stations take you close to mother nature. I am lucky enough that few months back I visited India and got a chance to visit the Mount Abu hill station of Rajasthan. Here I want to share some pleasant moment of that trip.
First of all I would like to introduce myself. Hello everybody, I am Wanne Rooney from Madrid, the capital city of Spain. Last February, I got a welcome break from my busy schedule and set out for India on 15 days long trip. First I reached India capital New Delhi and visited the attractions of the city. After passing three days in Delhi and proceeded to India’s popular state Rajasthan which has a number of charming cities. While I was exploring the various regions of Rajasthan, I came to know about the hill station of Mount Abu.
On the way to Mount Abu my travel guide told me the fact that Mount Abu, the only hill resort of Rajasthan is considered among the most famous hill stations of India. Further he mentioned that Mount Abu was the summer resort of the British East India Company. During the ancient time, Mount Abu was the home of a number saints and sages, so apart from a hill station, Mount Abu is also a sacred place for pilgrims.
When I reached Mount Abu, to my surprise it was cool oasis in the desert land of Rajasthan. Mount Abu boasts of many delightful spots which made my trip to this hilly land a memorable experience. First, I was enthralled by the tranquil picturesque of Nakki Lake. Situated amidst the hills, it seemed to me that God himself just carved out this place by his nails. I couldn’t stop myself from enjoying a boat cruise across the picturesque lake. After enjoying a wonderful boat ride I moved to visit other attractions of Mount Abu. Some other highlights of my Mount Abu trip were visit to Sunset Point, Toad’s Rock and beautifully sculpted hill temple of Gaumukh and Arbuda. My eyes were just bedazzled by the exclusive stone carvings in the magnificent Jain temples here. Moreover, today almost four months have passed to my trip India, but Mount Abu has filled my mind with enormous pleasing moments which I can never forget.
